The recommended use level for NeoCide* PC-8020 preservative is 0.3-0.5% by weight in Sheath Fluid Liquids, which is synergistic with most of biocides like NeoCide PC-300, BND-10, GML-2 and replace of Sodium Azide. | ||||
Description:
Neocide® PC-8020 special antibacterial agent for in vitro diagnostic reagents.
The main active ingredients of this product are 80% 2-phenoxyethanol and 20% antibacterial synergist (polyol)
It is mainly used in in vitro diagnostic reagents. has been used as an antibacterial agent in the analysis of cerebrospinal fluid, urine sediment, qPCR buffer, and nucleic acid release agents.
It is one of the most commonly used preservatives in these in vitro diagnostic reagents, and has good antibacterial effect in most (alkaline) conditions.
However, sodium azide inhibits the activity of various enzymes such as horseradish peroxidase (HRP) and superoxide dismutase
Do not add sodium azide to the reagent containing horseradish peroxidase. Also, sodium azide should not be heated, exposed to open flames, or subjected to friction.
Rubbing, shaking, and impact can cause explosions; dinitrogen pentoxide, which can react violently with acids, can also react explosively with heavy metals and their
Salt forms highly sensitive compounds. Sodium azide and cyanide have similar toxicity to cytochrome oxidase and other enzymes.
Has inhibitory effects and can hinder the formation of oxyhemoglobin in the body, leading to death. Due to its flammability, explosiveness, and extreme toxicity, sodium azide is highly dangerous.
The dual nature of sexuality, as a dangerous chemical, has special regulatory requirements in terms of procurement, storage, and use at the national level
The scope is becoming increasingly limited.
Neocide® PC-8020 special antimicrobial agent for in vitro diagnostic reagents can also be used as a substitute for thimerosal, thimerosal.
It has been widely used in these in vitro diagnostic reagents. It has strong antibacterial ability against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, providing broad-spectrum
Antibacterial agents, due to the theoretical neurotoxicity of small amounts of organic mercury, the safety issue of using thiomersal is deeply concerned by people
Attention. After the compounding of phenoxyethanol and polyols, it has a broad-spectrum antibacterial effect and can inhibit bacteria, fungi, and other microorganisms.
Discuss with Neocide@ PC-300 antibacterial agent, Neocide@ PC-950 antibacterial agent, Neocide@ GML-2 antibacterial agent, Neocide@ BND-10 antibacterial agent.
When used together, the combination can achieve synergy and enhance effectiveness. It is recommended to use a concentration of 0.3-0.5%.
Key Advantate:
The main active ingredients of the Neocide® PC-8020 antimicrobial agent for in vitro diagnostic reagents are 80% 2-phenoxyethanol and 20% synergistic agent (polyol).
2-phenoxyethanol, also known as phenoxyethanol or ethylene glycol monophenyl ether, is a high-boiling, low-volatile solvent. It is a low sensitizing, highly efficient, broad-spectrum preservative and bactericide.
Due to its solubility in both water and oil, its usage has been increasing in the light industry and daily chemical industry in recent years. Polyol, as a synergistic agent, enhances the antimicrobial ability when combined with 2-phenoxyethanol.
o Broad-spectrum, long-lasting inhibition of various bacteria and fungi, with specific antimicrobial effects against Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
o Good compatibility with various emulsifiers, surfactants, and other ingredients.
o Suitable for pH range 2-12, compatible with various enzymes without inhibiting antibody binding.
o Low toxicity, does not contain heavy metals and halogen compounds.
o Stable with amine compounds.
o Does not contain formaldehyde, low odor, and no VOC (volatile organic compounds).
o Incompatible with strong oxidants, acyl chlorides, and acid anhydrides.
