Tris (Tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane) and Tris-HCl (Tris hydrochloride), as commonly used buffer pairs, provide a convenient, stable, and suitable pH environment for IVD reagents. For greater ease of use, we highly recommend the co-application solution of NeoCide® Tris and NeoCide® Tris-HCl produced by Suzhou Genemill.
Tris is a weak base with a pKa of 8.1 at room temperature (25°C), offering an effective buffering range of pH 7.0–9.1. Tris-HCl is the hydrochloride salt derived from Tris.
Aqueous solutions prepared from Tris solids are alkaline (pH 10.0–11.5).
Aqueous solutions prepared from Tris-HCl solids are acidic (pH 4.2–5.0).
By blending high-purity Tris and Tris-HCl solids at specific ratios, customized buffer solutions with target pH values can be flexibly achieved.
Target pH and concentration can be attained by adding high-purity Tris and Tris-HCl at precise mass or molar ratios. Refer to the attached table for detailed data (e.g., mass/molar ratios and dosages for 0.01M Tris buffer at various pH levels).
Eliminates the need for strong acids/bases (e.g., HCl or NaOH), avoiding restrictions on handling, procurement, and storage.
Streamlines workflows for experiments and production.
Purity: ≥99.5% for both products.
Low impurities: Strict control of metal ions and other contaminants.
Quality compliance: ISO 13485:2016 certified with rigorous batch-to-batch consistency.
COA: Detailed quality specifications are provided in the attached Certificates of Analysis (COA).
Packaging: Plastic drums for convenient use in production facilities.
Recommendation: To ensure buffer quality and experimental reliability, always use high-purity Tris/Tris-HCl reagents to avoid interference from impurities.
